#WorldOsteoporosisDay raises global awareness of the prevention, diagnosis & treatment of #osteoporosis. This year's focus is on men since osteoporosis affects 1 in 5 men over the age of 50, men are 2x as likely to die following a #hipfracture than women & men are more likely to suffer an osteoporotic fracture than to develop prostate cancer! Regular weight-bearing & muscle-strengthening exercises are important for maintaining those strong bones and muscles!
